THEPS Newsletter #31: Are you at work?
Hello,
We need a bit of a break, but there’s so much work to do that we cannot leave you right now.
Having said that, we still find some time to relax with a good book. People get annoyed when we mention gender studies, but they are very important. The gender gap in reading is quite pronounced in Eastern and Southern Europe; women read significantly more than men across Europe. This gap, with Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, and Cyprus at lower reading rates and Finland, Sweden, and Denmark at higher ones, is worthy of a project that will help bridge this terrible divide. Maybe a good mobility on literacy that will help youth workers become more up to date in tackling the tentacles of the social-media octopus?
Even our mascot Aristotle enjoys a good book! (see him at the end of the email)

What the Future Holds

As promised, Aristotle enjoying a book.
Millennials, what else would you like to see change in the near future? We know what you’re going to say: “HAVEN’T WE SEEN ENOUGH?!” We have, but we are strong, we are kind, we are European and most importantly, we are having a EUROPEAN SUMMER.
And if you’re a non-Millennial who’s reading this, please bear with us. We are in this together.
The future holds better connections for all of us. Stay tuned; we have something in mind.
