The astronomical summer begins this Sunday in our parts of the world, and we wouldn’t be surprised if you’re already in your imaginary sandals catching tan in a resort somewhere in the EU. But we have work to do, THEPSies.
It feels like all NAs have been on overload because hardly any results have been published, even 3 months after the deadline. We’ve noticed that because of the influx of applicants, some projects have been rejected for administrative reasons (be careful, you must tick all the boxes in your application - literally!). We are giving you some results, a bit of analysis, too.
Here’s what we have for you:

EIT Culture & Creativity Launches €6 Million NEB Academy Call
The NEB Academy is opening two major funding opportunities this year, each targeting a different part of Europe’s
cultural‑green transition.
The first, NEB Academy | Fashion Shift, offers up to €2.5 million in total funding, with up to €500,000 per project. Fashion is one of Europe’s most resource‑intensive industries, but also one of the fastest to experiment with circular and regenerative approaches. This call supports multi‑actor consortia that include independent fashion brands and aims to help them develop, test, and scale responsible business models across the entire European value chain (from material sourcing and design to retail, circular services, and end‑of‑life management).
The second line, NEB Academy | Skills Infrastructure, provides up to €3.5 million in total funding, with up to €600,000 per project. This call recognises that transforming Europe’s built environment is not only about new materials or technologies, but it’s also about people. Architects, designers, engineers, educators, public bodies, and cultural actors all need new competences and new ways of working together. The Skills Infrastructure call will fund five to six trans‑regional collaborations to build lifelong learning programmes rooted in local contexts, strengthening the skills ecosystems that support sustainable, inclusive, and culturally grounded transformation.
This call is a significant opportunity for organisations working at the intersection of culture, creativity, sustainability, and skills development. It aligns with:
- the New European Bauhaus
- the European Green Deal
- the EU Skills Agenda
- the transition to sustainable construction and design
The funding will back projects that:
- develop training modules, curricula, and learning experiences aligned with the New European Bauhaus values
- strengthen skills for sustainable construction, circularity, and regenerative design
- build cross‑sector partnerships between culture, education, industry, and local communities
- support the creation of a pan‑European NEB Academy network
- promote innovation, inclusion, and community engagement in the built environment
The goal is to equip Europe’s workforce with the skills needed for a climate‑neutral, socially inclusive future, while placing culture and creativity at the centre of the transition.
The call is open to:
- cultural and creative organisations
- VET providers and training institutions
- universities and research centres
- architecture, design, and engineering organisations
- municipalities and regional authorities
- SMEs and industry partners
- innovation labs and hubs
You must be able to contribute to skills development, training design, or capacity‑building in the NEB ecosystem.
Total budget: €6 million
Funding per project: varies depending on scope and consortium
Funding model: typically co‑funded under EIT rules, the full financial details are provided in the official call documentation
Eligible costs: training development, piloting, partnerships, dissemination, ecosystem building
