You can now submit your Erasmus+ projects because the webgate platform is active. Because of the record-breaking project submissions across all countries, only a few will have enough funding for October. Stay tuned, we’ll discuss it in the next issue.
Submitting a project is not an easy task. The platform is embarrassingly ugly. We are not known for being delicate, but this time we will be: the user experience of filling in the form is “dear user, just give up already.” What? We put it nicely. *shrug*
That’s nothing in comparison to finding the good partners. Aren’t you tired of partners who are never on time for the online meeting? Partners who constantly slow down everyone’s work? Partners who get paid but don’t do much and everyone else has to cover for them? We are. If only there were a way to rate partners you’ve worked with… ;)

What changed?
- Submitted projects: 570 → 668 (+98 projects, +17.2%)
- Funded projects: 68 → 72 (+4 projects, +5.9%)
- Overall funding rate: 11.9% → 10.8% (a decrease of 1.1 percentage points)
The takeaway is that Bulgaria submitted almost one-fifth more KA2 projects in 2026 (!), but funding did not increase at the same pace... As a result, competition became even tougher, with the overall success rate dropping from 11.9% to 10.8%.
Overall, Bulgaria's KA2 results show that small-scale partnerships (KA210) generally offer better chances of success than large cooperation partnerships (KA220). For organisations considering a new project, starting with a KA210 may be the more strategic route before tackling the highly competitive KA220 calls.
